Meredith was born in Beeville, Texas, and grew up in her family's farming and ranching operation in Bee and Live Oak Counties.  After graduating from Skidmore-Tynan High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University in College Station and went on to complete her Juris Doctor at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio.

During law school, Meredith studied at the Institute of World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria, and served as a judicial intern for United States Magistrate Judge Pamela A. Mathy.  Meredith was also Executive Editor of Volume 35 of the St. Mary's Law Journal.

Immediately following law school, Meredith worked in San Antonio as an associate in the corporate law practice group of a large South Texas law firm, where she assisted clients with general corporate transactions and business ventures, including merger and acquisition transactions, corporate governance issues, and business formations, operations and reorganizations.

After taking some time away from practicing law while raising small children, Meredith and her husband returned home to Beeville in 2014 with their three daughters to continue in the family farming and ranching tradition. She is proud to be practicing law and raising children in her hometown community. Meredith serves on the Board of Directors of CASA of Bee, Live Oak, and McMullen Counties and the Joe Barnhart Bee County Library. She is also currently on the executive board of Rosetta Club of Beeville and served for several years on the Executive Council of the Junior Service League of Beeville.
